Worthington is a city in Franklin County, Ohio, United States, and is a northern suburb in the metro Columbus area. The population is approximately 14,442. The city was founded in 1803 by the Scioto Company led by James Kilbourne, who was later elected to the United States House of Representatives, and named in honor of Thomas Worthington, who later became governor of Ohio.

The McConnell Arts Center (MAC) is a contemporary, multidisciplinary facility presenting and promoting the performing, visual and digital arts in Worthington, Ohio. The center offers a series of performances, exhibitions and classes, and cultural opportunities that includes both free and ticketed events. The facility is housed in a 20,000 sq. ft. strucure, the old Worthington High School built in 1915, and incudes a 213 seat auditorium, an exhibition gallery, four classrooms, a digital imaging studio, a dance studio and rotating exhibitions throughout the facility. The center’s mission includes fultilling the legacy of the Worthington Arts Council to advocate, create, and nurture arts programming.

Founded in 1948, this facility is one of the oldest railroad museums in America. The museum began with the acquisition of Ohio Public Service Interurban Car #21, which is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The museum educates through displays and demonstrations, educating how the railway affected the life of the people and businesses of Ohio and the United States. The museum operates on the former Columbus, Delaware and Marion railbed and right-of-way.
