A/C System Refrigerant/Coolant Repairs
One of the most common problems we see on our customers’ air conditioning systems is a refrigerant leak. All modern air conditioners use a form of coolant to perform its work, whether it’s the now-phased-out Freon/R-22 refrigerant, or its replacement Puron/R-410a.
Refrigerants are unique liquids that convert to a gas in pressurized, closed system air conditioners, releases cold as it passes through your A/C system, then absorbs heat and converts back into a liquid, only to repeat that process over and over. Because the refrigerant is under pressure, and the system contains many plumbing-style connections, the coolant can sometimes develop a leak over time.

As mentioned earlier, the compressor performs the most important function of an air conditioner, pressurizing the refrigerant so that it can capture the heat inside and transfer it outside.
