DorMar Heating & Air Conditioning is a leading provider of HVAC-R, appliance repair, drain cleaning/light plumbing services in Newark, Ohio. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team and help manage our financial transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Record financial transactions and maintain accurate records using our accounting software
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing customers and following up on overdue payments
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with federal and state tax laws
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Participate in training sessions and ongoing education to stay current with accounting best practices and software
Requirements:
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and practices
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Familiarity with Service Titan and HVAC terminology a plus
